Position Summary:
The Therapy Technician supports clinicians and administrative staff in a multidisciplinary outpatient therapy clinic providing Speech Therapy (ST), Occupational Therapy (OT), Physical Therapy (PT), and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. This position assists with patient flow, prepares therapy materials, maintains a clean and organized treatment environment, and supports front office operations as needed. The Therapy Technician plays an important role in ensuring the clinic operates efficiently and that patients receive services in a safe, welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Support:
  • Assist therapists (ST, OT, PT, ABA) with preparation and set-up of therapy activities, materials, and equipment.
  • Support clinicians during therapy sessions as directed (e.g., preparing materials, managing activity transitions, gathering items).
  • Escort patients to and from treatment areas when appropriate.
  • Assist with organizing therapy tools, toys, sensory equipment, and treatment supplies.
  • Monitor and maintain therapy rooms to ensure readiness for the next patient.

Clinic Organization & Maintenance:
  • Clean and sanitize therapy equipment, treatment rooms, toys, and high-touch surfaces in accordance with clinic infection control protocols.
  • Maintain an organized environment in therapy rooms, sensory rooms, and shared clinic spaces.
  • Restock therapy supplies, materials, and cleaning items as needed.
  • Assist with inventory and organization of therapy materials and equipment.

Administrative & Reception Support:
  • Provide front desk support as needed including greeting patients and families.
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures when requested.
  • Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate staff.
  • Help manage patient flow in the waiting area.
  • Assist with filing, organizing paperwork, and other administrative tasks as assigned.

  • Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with patients, families, and staff.
  • Maintain a positive, supportive attitude in a team-based clinical environment.
  • Follow clinic safety procedures and infection control policies.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Interest in healthcare, therapy services, or working with children and families preferred.
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental needs is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move therapy equipment or supplies as needed.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, and move throughout the clinic environment.
  • Ability to assist with maintaining an active therapy environment.

Work Environment:
This position is based in a fast-paced outpatient therapy clinic serving pediatric and adult patients across multiple therapy disciplines (Speech, Occupational, Physical, and ABA therapy). The environment requires flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to assist where needed to support patient care and clinic operations.
